John's Tuna Pasta
2012-07-06
Today I'm sharing a very easy recipe for pasta. A friend from college came up with it. We used to cook this all the time because it's cheap and very tasty. And you can also add sweet corn if you like it.
Ingredients (2 servings)
- 1 medium onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 200g (7oz) sliced fresh mushrooms
- 2 cans of tuna (300g/10oz)
- 125mL (1/2 cup) of cream
- parsley for garnish, spaghetti, nutmeg, salt, olive oil, pepper, q.s.
Instructions (Time: 1 hour)
Chop the onion and the garlic and fry it in some olive oil.
Once the onion is soft, add the mushrooms and season with salt and pepper.
Add the tuna when the mushrooms are nearly done.
Mix well and season with nutmeg. Add the cream when the tuna is cooked (if you’re adding sweet corn now is a good time to do it).
Season with more nutmeg, salt and pepper. Taste the sauce and make the necessary adjustments. And cook the spaghetti in salted boiling water.
Once the pasta is done add it to the pan and add a little of the spaghetti water (3 tablespoons).
Mix well (it will be messy).
And serve!
